Computer Problem: Worm
« on: August 17, 2012, 09:58:39 AM »
I've had it for some time now as MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) keeps notifying me of its presence and each time it's getting removed but it's constantly reappearing, and unusually, this morning Microsoft Windows Malicious System Removal Tool alerted me that it's on my computer AGAIN.

Why does this keep reappearing, despite the fact that it's removed? Where is it coming from?

Worm:Win32/Rimecud.HV (Microsoft Windows Malicious System Removal Tool found this)

Worm:Win32/Ainslot.A (Microsoft Security Essentials found this)

As far as I'm aware, it's just a fictitious virus telling me I need to buy or download some software to remove it which is actually in fact malicious software itself, spyware.

Can anyone else advise me further? Would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I've used:

Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE)
Anti-Rootkit Utility TDSSKiller (http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363)
SUPERAntiSpyware (http://www.superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html)
Malware Bytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/)

Regards.

If you're having a worm problem, just get a bird for your computer and it will eat it.  Simple as that!

A lot of these responses have been extremely beneficial, now that I have a bird, the worm seems to have been eaten and now that I no longer masturbate via viewing pornography on my PC, I have no problems whatsoever.

Thanks.

try this http://www.hijackthis.de/en
the download is in the top right corner
let the program do a scan then copy paste it onto that website and let it analyze

you can also post it here so we can see what is running on your pc

also why dont you just let the microsoft program/removal tool do it's job. there is a remove/fix button somewhere when it found something
